Razors for cutting the jacket are useless, but a real wire sheathing tool takes care of that (or gently score jacket and bend it over - be careful you don't cut into wire) the wire tester worked well. A battery is also included for the tester.

The crimper and the connectors worked very well for me and the tester was fine initially but the switch button literally broke off after just a few uses

I disassembled it four screws under the plastic front label and one in the battery compartment and found that the internal switch mechanism consists of a very small piece of plastic that openscloses some small boardmounted contacts
