On the side of the laser is where the large battery goes and this is for the illuminated crosshairs set to the letter r or g looks to be powered off any of the numbers it lights it up

The back of the laser with push button onoff unscrews and the three small batteries fit in there

I had to return the original due to the “laser being off” when the scope is zeroed

Unfortunately the instructions provided were for a different scope altogether so rather than return i ended up playing with the scope for some time to get it initially zeroed
