Pros & Cons
Pros
Well-built stand that works as as advertised. Good looking stand. But that suits my purposes. Still, if it fits, it's a great option.
Using a heavy bag stand does not require the anchoring, but creates a large foot print. You have to be a little tech savvy to figure out which bolt is which. There are pegs on each side and in the back that can be used to add weights to add stability.... Read More
Stand allows you to move the punching bag off to the side and away from your workout area. Some may think it makes footwork more possible. The only lousy thing is the directions.
Hanging from the wall requires anchoring heavy duty hardware into a stud or beam. Using a designed bracket and using a heavy bag stand provide suitable substitutions. A heavy bag is most versatile if it is ceiling mounted.
Cons
One of the support braces is bashed up fairly good as a result and missing entire sections of red paint. Main gripe i have with this product is that the holes in the upright post from which the bag hangs do not line up. I regret this purchase and woul... Read More

Packaging/appearance
Our punching bag used to hang from the ceiling but we wanted to move it out of the way so we had more workout space
Now everyone wants to punch on the bag
However my daughter had some issues using the bag for kicking complaining the feet got in the way
Competitiveness
I hung a 100lb bag and it seems to hold the weight just fine
I used a 70lb bag and the stand was sturdy enough to not move even without any additional weight
They are laughably small miniature diagram and the parts werent labeled
Nobody likes asking an ex for a favor

I believe a heavy bag is most versatile if it is ceiling mounted

I would advise weighing down the base of the stand depending on the size and strength of the person using the heavy bag

Firstly i want to preface the review by saying that i am in no way a competitive fighter nor am i built like arnold

Now the bad is a bit more lengthy because well ive seen better stands

My first problem as stated above is access from the sides

While you can get at it the feet of the stand protruding at the base are trip hazards if you are working on any foot work while hitting the bag especially if you have weights on the posts to hold it down

My second gripe is that if you are using weights to hold it down and not anchoring it to the floor with bolts you need a lot of weight to prevent it from moving all over the place

I am not sure how to prevent this other than a heavier bag or anchoring it but i put 250 lbs of weights on it and when i hit it the stand still moves all over the place
