Basically to save power i think that the doorbell turns itself off totally except for the motion sensor and then only comes on when the sensor is trigger and so it needs to reconnect wifi etc

This made it a bit useless sometimes especially the bit about capturing and viewing people who only walk up to your door but do not actually ring the doorbell

But i recently changed our wifi router from a bt hh5 to a bt hh6 or smarthub as its now called and the response time has dropped to a consistent 12 seconds which makes me conclude that the speed and power of the wifi router is as much to blame as the ring itself

It only takes a couple of hours to charge so i would be happy even if it only lasted a month especially if it meant that the response time could be reduced even further or if you could ask for live video this does not work today on the ring

You do need to ensure your wifi is working

Easy to setup and install and with settings on the app you can tweek to suit how you want to use it
