Pros

Rikon vacuum has great suction and is quiet compared to a canister vac.

The hose and funnel aren't anything fancy but it's nice to have regardless. Works great for lathe work. Used it ripping baltic birch plywood on a 10 contractor saw today.

Cons

The supplied hose is so stiff that it is unusable. Low suction. Clumsy to move about even with casters.

I had hope to just replace the shop vac with the rikon dust collector and give my ears a break

I find it very quiet a low hum rather than the ear plugs mandatory scream of a shopvac

Using with a sawstop contractor saw almost no dust is exiting the shroud

It doesnt have the same type of suction of a shopvac but it does pull more dust and shavings than a shopvac
