Pros

The only setback is that the motor will bog down when the pressure is hard against the sander. The sanding belt sits completely above the rest of the unit so all of the surface is usable. Dust collection with shop vac works well.

Changing it out looks to be a snap. Tracking needs to be adjusted each time, but that just takes a second. It shifts with pressure. The best is simple to change unlike the model i purchased from harbor freight.

Good hobby belt sander. This thing is a beast. Get it on amazon too.

Good well built machine, dependable. Little vibration and sufficient power. The table gauge is plastic but strong.

Cons

Rikon is not strong enough to even do very light sanding. Changing the sanding belt was also a hassle. I suggest when buying a new sander, get one that is at least a 3/4 hp motor.
