Cons

Ridgid is discontinuing the octane line, in favor of a 3 level lineup. We were denied the warranty on this saw due to the seller not being an authorized dealer. We have a saw that we have to pay to have dispose of.

I find it cuts accurate and does not struggle or bog down

These new saws with over torque or whatever stops it is a pain

Just be aware you will not qualify for the lifetime warranty if you purchase the tool anywhere on amazon

Price

Saved 50 over price at home depot

As with my other purchase like that the tool is tested to meet specs before shipped

Packaging/appearance

The saw is very impressive and was in perfect condition with all parts securely packaged

Competitiveness

It’s a lot cheaper than dewalt but maybe one step down

The only issue was that the seller does not partner with ridgid tools to offer the lifetime replacement warranty
