Image quality is superb and the build is sturdy. Easy to take out one handed and get good shots even while lead belaying. Video quality isn't the best, but it'll do in a pinch. Not as well known as the fuji film simulations, but useable.

The battery life is abysmal, but the quality is so good that i can deal with this tradeoff.

As a backup to an slr it's perfect for my needs. Iq of the recent pany g8 or the lx100-2 is the closest to the gr3, regarding iq. Grs are tuned to be. Sharp, while dialing up the iq at the same time.

Low light autofocus is bad and inaccurate even with firmware 1. Camera refuses to focus very often. Youtube spokes-samuel confirmed that the ricoh's lens quality deteriorates with f/stops smaller than f/2.

But the camera is trash. It’s just the ricoh gr3 that has a pound of dust. It's an overpriced piece of trash.

It's too bad this camera doesn't allow those images to be downloaded from its internal memory to any location. How they sell you a spare charger without the cable and usb power to use it is beyond me.

It's extremely hard to use in direct sunlight and nearly impossible to accurately compose shots. The rear lcd can't be seen in bright sunlight and with no viewfinder, you'll be severely weakened for composition. A sony rx100 va or vi has better colors...  Read More
