One we had got water in as the unit wasnt as water tight as it should of been and it wasnt cheep either

They do come with batteries as i did read somewhere they dont all three of mine did

Brilliant fish tank thermometer works brilliantly after taking out of pack and inserting small watch type battery did not come with one included
