When i was hitchhiking across ecuador i was so concerned for my belongings because i would sleep in busses and going to various hostels now that sounds like a nightmare but i wouldnt change that trip for the world

I suggest leaving your passport in it when you go through xray machines and such if you travel a lot your passport can really take a beating from all the various sensor related security measures
