Your ps2 will be set to rbg signal you just need to put the ps2 to the other setting to get the converter to work

One of the cons is you can run some games in 480p as this little device handles digital output only

The only setback is that you cant control aspect ratio of the picture so everything is stretched to 169 but im pretty sure that is the issue with my specific monitor as it cant change aspect ratio when fed with digital signal

As others have stated you need to change the video settings on the startup menu before use

Audio output jack is useful if your monitor does not support audio via the hdmi
