This game is for someone who's willing to play 4 hours a day to get someplace. As a dollars-to-hours-entertainment ratio goes, this meets the standard to me.

The audio is stellar with ps5 3d audio. It utilizes the ps5's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers better than any other game out right now. Especially with the pulse 3d headphones (or others with 3d audio), the sound is excellent.

Returnal is stunning, impressive and immersive. The sci-fi other worldly atmosphere is very reminiscent of the movie alien and prometheus. Housemarque definitely knows how to make a * video game with a good engine!

This game is just a downright masterpiece.

Use the weapons to unlock a locked trait. Each time you play, the environment and available weapons, consumables and artifacts are entirely different. The replay ability for those games is also dependent on the game specifically.

I don't care if a game is a thousand hours. If those thousand hours are boring and depression-inducing, it is not worth it. For the rogue like that demands grinding this is quite repetitive and very quickly palls.

The difficulty, unfairness of enemies, and lack of saves is truly insane an infuriating. From game crushing glitches and updates that delete your saves to the overwhelming reliance on luck and randomness. Then the whole dungeon maps randomly change.

It is so gd frustrating. And that others just need to git gud. Sometimes objectives are impossibly far.
