Great replacement for my z4 speaker controlworks very well
Had no problems hooking this control pod up to my 10yearold logitech z4 subwooferjust insert the plug and screw it down like usual
Cord length works for me but ive retired this system to my basement workbench i dont care about looks or hiding the cables
Volume control seems to have smoother adjustment
Price
5 stars would be for a sturdier better looking controller case for that price
If i spent 50 on new speakers now theyd sound terrible and for the same price i revived my old decent not great but good speaker system

New comparisons the replacement pod is a bit on the light side and would probably do well with a velcro anchor in a permanent location but thats a small nitpick after having my right channel cut out every time i touched the old pods volume knob

The old one seemed to take broader steps in volume whereas the new one seems to take smaller steps more smoothly
