Pros & Cons

Pros

These aren't too much more expensive, but if you're penny-pinching, i might recommend saving a couple bucks with a pearl mesh head. Apologies for the tangent, but these remo mesh heads are absolutely perfect for what i'm doing.

Nice feel and tonal quality at a fraction of thedb level. Color is black which looks cool mounted. Amazing response and feel.

These heads are really all they're cracked up to be. In fact they’re quite comical! They work very well. My gripe is that they last a very long time.

The head itself has a mesh that is very similar to patio screen. It has a similar bounce to a regular head but because of the springiness of the mess it actually feels more like playing a bigger head.

The roland's are 2 ply but the cost is outrageous. I like their bounciness much better than the stock roland heads, which are much more expensive. These silent strokes work well on the pd-85 and are quieter than roland's which are also made by remo.

Cons

This product is not good enougth. The head is so quiet, it is useless for me. On a snare drum, they sound terrible.

Quality

I like the quality of the construction and that you can actually hit the silentsroke head hard and very minimal sound is heard

The quality isnt quite as good as the roland heads but it is close

I don’t detect any meaningful difference in feel or sensitivity with the other 2 ply heads on the kit so i am happy as a clam

The snare head is the only problem with the mesh head approach however that can be resolved with some fine tuning

Price

The price is great too compared to roland oem highpriced heads

These are good heads and the prices are great

The rolands are 2 ply but the cost is outrageous

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was open when we got it and the box was smashed but other than that great product

Competitiveness

I like their bounciness much better than the stock roland heads which are much more expensive

Working perfectly on my roland vconcert drums at one third the price of the roland replacement heads

I started doing this because of the expense of highend ekits even in the alesis top range
