Pros & Cons
Pros
It's not very quiet, but the point of a good pad is to feel like your playing on an actual snare drum. The silentstroke is basically the same, but more of a mesh feel and 80% quieter. The rim is a plus.
The response is very nice and realistic. The black and red cors are vibrant and solid.
Cons
The remo is better to learn moeller technique if you want to go that way. The tunable feature is nonsense. The rim won't last long if you do rimshots on it.
No pad should be this obnoxiously loud. It has a steel lip around the entire edge which gets in the way of drumming on it. It is louder than the real feel soft pad but doesn't sound like an actual snare drum.
Highlights
Quality
Great sound quality and feels just like your drum
Very durable product great bounce adjustable head good for practicing on the go
I removed the sound dampening material on the inside and glued the whole thing to the instrument
Works awesome for the most part does not have a uniform field across the entire pad
Price
It was worth the money and i recommend this for beginners
If your looking for a cheap pad this is the one
So i ended up getting a remo silentstroke instead along with the aforementioned adapter for my inexpensive stand and im happy with it

Remo doesnt use a standard thread size

So if you want this to mount on a standard 8mm thread you have to find a remo pad stand adapter 8mm to 143420 model remhk150000
