Coated ambassador for my piccolo gives the nice crisp sound for my snare and the crack sound when i rim shot. Remo makes the best snare head at the single ply level!
For me, they are the standard to which others must aspire. Have bought & used them for over 50 years. Remo is my brand and i'm sticking with them.
Lovin the sound, tone, quality and durability of these puppies. Perfect for our setup. Great batter head for my floor tom.
Cons
Good drum skin, but a hair was embedded in the powder coating. Coated emperor instead.

The batter head it came with when new had the pork pie logo also marked as remo

It was the cheap low end thin head it was challenging to tune it where i wanted it and wouldnt stay there long also way too ringy

The opposite feel to a double rock head which is not capable of playing jazz or snare work other than beating
