This product works exceptionally well for those pool owners who don't want to use high levels of chlorine as a method of sanitization. Bought another one for my second pool, at our guesthouse. A bit cloudier than high chlorine pools.
Surprisingly, it appears to be working, really. They are worth every penny.
I clean the copper anode once a week with the wire brush that came with it, and i’ve got more than 3/4 of the anode left still. It works best if you tether it in front of your return under constant direct sunlight. The only maintenance is a copper tub... Read More
Cons
Unable to hold the anode as it is epoxied in place in the unit. Seller refuses warranty.
Chlorine tablets contain stabilizer which over time cause a buildup of cyanuric acid in the pool water. The only solution going forward is to use less stabilized chlorine to sanitize the pool. Algae is still a problem.
Though they leave a musty gray trail when operating in the sun, the pool copper level is not notable. The metal scrub brush is also pretty worthless. Too much copper leads to staining and green colored hair and nails, apparently.

They provide a metal brush but the liquid allows me to drop the unit into a jar and all the build up is removed
