Roughing up the area to be patched again wouldn't hurt. The glue still works after the glue tube has been used.

The kit is awesome and almost fun to use. Getting nostalgic feelings here. Fantastic kit to always have on hand.

Cons

Hot weather seems to accelerate glue deterioration. The glue doesn't get tacky or stick to anything, the patches have no adhesive on them either.
