It's very sturdy, easy to unlock by squeezing the triggers. Took max 10 minutes to set up (drilled 3 hole into the wall) it seems quite sturdy when shut and that is the only thing that really matters.

Will edit after installing the remaining 3 if there are any other things to note, but loving it so far! Otherwise, it is good. Would definitely purchase again.

If you're looking for a sturdy gate to frustrate you, this is the one. Not only is the gate not easy to open and close, it is sooooooo loud. The gate is sturdy once it is closed, but it is difficult to close and open.

The locking tabs would not lock so disappointed cause looks like we will just have to cut the top off so children do not play with the lock

On the negative side it could use a stop so that it doesnt swing out over the staircase
