It is a little too cumbersome for my liking, but it does work as stated. Great to see the apples still crisp after five months. Good accompanying app to keep up with the conditions remotely.
Set up was easy and painless. The unit does come fully wired vs. Couldn't be simpler to install.
Cons
It reacts too slow to temperature changes, so it significantly overshoots the set temperature. The probe and coil are more rigid than i would like and seem like they might * easy.

If you wanted to go to the trouble you could drill a smallish hole for the bulb of the sensor to go through the body of the freezer instead of running the wire under the door gasket

For extra protection of the actual probe rigged a small protective cover from an old plastic box to cover the body of the probe then taped it to the inner wall of the freezer

We put the old standup freezer into use as a refrigerator when all the kids returned to the roost for a big family get together which required extra refrigerator space for food and of course beer

Used a good refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature and it remained within 12 degrees of the thermostats set point
