The unit i received was open and obviously used but reeds cutter is built so solid i paid little attention to that potential problem

I have had 2 or 3 cutters including rigid and was just plain tired of crooked cuts in pvc

Could not be more pleased

The only fault i made was not ordering the pvc cutting wheel that is on its way
