The sleeves are breathable fit just right snug rather than tight and they do actually stay up

There is a very thin rubberlike trim around the top of the sleeve to help prevent it from sliding down the arm

So perhaps i should have rolled the sleeve into a bunchee and then unrolled it from my wrist up my arm and into position
