The dialog pushes so hard to connect you to marsten's tragedy, but fails to make it feel real.

The game freezes in the story line thus making the game unplayable. Red dead redemption suffers from the same malady that many games do it gives you a world that's big and beautiful, yet empty. This is the absolute glitchiest game i have ever played.

The gameplay mechanics are shopworn. There are minigames, but they're horrible. Worst is the 'duel' mode. The game is a snooze.

The side missions boil down to killing animals or stumbling across crimes. Dead eye (the games bullet-time) helps sometimes; but, it's a finicky beast.
