Good ole rectorseal. Ease of use. Pipe dope is pipe dope.

I was faced with repairing my air compressor. Used this to replace the typical plumber's tape. Hooked up tanks, turned on propane and sprayed fittings to test for leaks.

Grease is thick and very lubricating. It goes on easily and has the consistency of toothpaste. It's a little messy but works right after application without needing to dry.

Goop this stuff on, tighten it and done. Cleaned the threads, applied a generous amount to the threads. Then threaded on, tightened and wiped off the excess.

Cons

A leak after reassembly is a major disappointment.
