Pros & Cons
Pros
Leather is taned really well providing even consistent color as well as soft and suppleness. The outside is a finished leather the inside is suede. Great for use as house slippers.
Excellent introduction into leather craft.
These are adjustable giving you whole size fit by taking in the heel. Can easily custom tailor fit to compress foot appropriately. Important to snug the lacing up several times.
Good construction instructions. Takes a little more than an hour to assemble. The act of putting them together is a bit time consuming.
Using household sewing thread in a running stitch. Take out all coloured tacking thread.

But i solved that by using a pair of pliers to pull the lace and a tiny screwdriver to force the leather to pleat
