I thought it would give better resolution by using this device while resolution stayed the same kind of like watch tv on an old crt monitor it did convert to hdmi

I bought it because i needed to connect an older sony handycam that only has an svideo output and need to convert it to hdmi

Brand new and sealed in the box worked excellent to convert av feed into hdmi output
