The sfp port doesnt support das cables copper direct attached sfp so i used a pair of inexpensive short range multimode sfp modules to link it with a netgear 10gbit switch and it just worked

In a static environment this will be fine but if you are plugging and unplugging regularly you will find they move and may eventually become loose

If you run a bigger environment you should consider a mikrotik cloudrouter combined with a mikrotik switch but bfore you get there you really need to use that unit at its full potential and it will be unlikely

I understand that others dont like the supplied rackmount but thats not where theyre spending the money when they build this device
