It takes a strong grip to get the crimp to complete but once you have there is no doubt about the quality of the crimp
Whether you buy this one or some other pay more and get a quality crimper

You need to press the handles together all the way and only then will the crimper release itself and open back up

A great set of crimpers for solderless connectors
I have used a few of the basic plier style crimpers
But then the price would have to go up and would be more than a diyer wants to pay for it
It is much more comfortable on my hands than a traditional cheap crimper

Ratcheting mechanism works cleanly and releases consistently at the end of the crimp cycle

Only thing i didnt like is that the dies have the little size indicators red blue and yellow dots but the dots arent painted
