Pros & Cons
Pros
Great 'new to me' item. Once i got the knack, they work very well. I recommend this because it works so well.
This little bowl is a life saver. Better than microwaving using a ceramic bowl. I love it so much and am thankful it came with two bowls.
As long as you stick to the guidelines set of not overfilling, it cooks the oatmeal perfectly. Add boiling water to just below the line--do not overfill. It makes wonderful oatmeal and i have not have it boil over once.
Cooks oatmeal very quick. I use regular oats, not the quick variety and it works beautifully. For those who do not use packets, here's the 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp of old-fashioned oats + 1 cup of liquid.
Cons
Don't buy it here, the kroger chain has it for $3. Water isn't enough to thoroughly cook the oats. No lid.
