Pros
These gloves are as comfortable as welding gloves can be. The protection runs way up my forearm. They are a little tight for me i usually wear a xxl glove.
Cons
I am sick of returning items to amazon that are of poor quality or have totally misleading descriptions. Down side. No longer useable in fireplace.
Welding gloves need to be crafted with very high quality materials in order to withstand the rigors of welding and iron work. One reason is the thumb finger on one of the left handed gloves must be sewn shut or there’s simply not enough material.

The gloves just becclass after one season of burning no matter how little time we expose them to high heat of fireplace
Its hard to hold any sort of tool with precision if needed and even operating a mig trigger is exhausting

I cant believe this existed for so long while we ruined perfectly good fires poking them with a stick or tossing on a new log

I mean you have to be careful and watch yourself but you can literally pick up a log that is burning to its core and move it without getting any level of burned

Not saying you can hold it while you chat but you can grab and move it
