The unit sits nicely in our car cup holders so it does not jump or roll around while we drive

If you are sensitive to noise then the fan could be a distraction but if youre driving the road noise or radio drown out the cooling fan in the unit

We have not tried to use the cigarette lighter as a power source for any other electronic gadget but i tried it briefly and it was supplying power as designed
