Pros
The rain design laptop stand is perfect for the 2020 m1 macbook air. It is very sturdy and fits my macbook perfectly. Overall the stand is sturdy, has great height, and works perfectly. I feel confident in the secure grip it has on my mb pro.
This stand is stable, ergonomic, and sturdy. The aluminum seems to dissipate some of the heat of the laptop. It bends a little bit downward but there is no bouncing as you type.

The space under it is great for tucking your keyboard in or your mouse. I usually run my hdmi, charger and keyboard cables through here. Easily switching laptops while having the cables still in one place.
Cons
The stand is sleek in appearance but disappointing in functionality. The lip on the front edge is about 1/2 in high. Another week goes by and another adhesive falls off.

Rain designs though pricier has superior material and design quality where they do not cheap out on thickness and durability elements like the rubber pads on the front and back along with plastic ring to allow for cords not to get cut up if you choose to plug in through the back port

My laptop was constantly overheating and i was getting a bit of a stiff neck when i would work on it for too long… just tilting my head down was tiring

If you want this stand to act as a heatsink you need to scrape off the rubber pads that are glued to it where you laptop sits

Otherwise there is an airgap and no direction contact aluminum to aluminum contact
