Pros

Window blinds, ceiling fan, furniture. I suspect it would take longer to clear cigar smoke.

A little maintenance of vacuuming the filters and then replacing yearly. You can specify what type of extra filter you want it to come with.

This air purifier is totally awesome! I have a beautiful ragdoll cat that sheds like crazy and has fine fuzz that floats thru the air and attaches to everything. This unit actually cleans the air quite well.

Cons

It is a clunky set-up that i have mastered by heart with all the tries. Just marked up for profit. And give me refund eventually.

Way over priced, doesn't work. Awful customer service, the 5 year warranty isn’t worth rocks. Cost of that is a lot- overpriced. I am baffled by the amount of excellent reviews on here.

When you include all the filter replacements, you are out one big pile of cash. The replacement filters are ridiculously expensive. I have another--much less expensive filter--winix, that does just as good a job for a 1/3 of the price.

Air purifier doesn't purify the air. My humidifier has a new built-in filter, so i am not sure if it really means that my humidifier does make the air quality worse (unlikely), or just the purifiers doesn't like humid air.

Every time we turn it on, it blows out smelly old carpet smell. If i light a cigar it takes about 10 minutes for the machine to kick in and the smell lingers for over two days. I have a smoke exhaust in the ceiling which vents out of the house.

I recently purchased one set and the odor filter was so flimsy that there is no way it would be effective

Within an hour after turning on the machine my nose opened up and has been clear ever since

These are priced very reasonable and work amazingly

It is a bit pricey but i feel it is a premium product

Expensive as are the replacement filters but it worked for us in a pretty extreme situation

Shipping

Every time their response was quick helpful and courteous

The folks at customer service have responded to my emails promptly

It took them mailing me another one before someone asked the right questions and they realized i had been given 2 wrong remotes

And took way too long to get here

Competitiveness

I have several other brands of air filters in the house and these two are by far the best

I do not buy oem replacement filters the offbrands found here on amazon work just fine and are exactly the same as the oem

The other brand i would recommend is the coway air mega 300 or 400 model

I bought the minusa2 with toxin absorber and also bought allergen replacement filters
