Pros

The silent burner 123 was used on my optimus 8r. Not only is my trusted 8r now insanely quiet, but the flame distribution is 100% improved! The burning noise is very quiet, and the thermal power is good enough.

This product works as advertised. For my allergy clogged ears, a blessing.

Quietstove fits into the dragonfly snugly after a good heating. Main feature is how effectively it dampens the roar from the dragonfly. I am more of a one pot, one temp cooker, so the weight saving of the whisperlite won out for me.

The quietstove cap solves both those issues. It makes it a joy to use. Need to be put in level, possibly adjusted with every setup. Doesn't seem to be a problem tho.

Lights instantly with propane/butane canisters, just like the msr pocket rocket. Aiming the lighter flame at the upper row of holes, reduces the chance of an undesirable under-flame. It also has a very low simmer size flame when needed.

Cons

This device meaningfully diminishes each of these benefits with the added cost of more weight. As is, it is just not worth the hassle, and is certainly not a good option if you are counting on using your stove in tough conditions.
