Purchased this product to replace another glass lid which had broken

The only thing that bugs me is the handle being too close to lid when you pick it up

As they were when the bottom began to brown on low heat both the yolks and whites were still too runny

Placing the quicklid over the pan solved this problem nicely by retaining the heat the glass permitted proper timing and the knob did indeed stay cool
