Pros

They send a link for the image to be downloaded and the key to activate. The 3 people i spoke with were professional and courteous.

Cons

Quicken has a near monopoly with the fi's for downloading transactional data. There doesn't appear to be any way to turn it off. You will get constant notifications of expiration for weeks before and after the expiration date passes. It's basically li... Read More

Quicken keeps issuing patch releases that claim (incorrectly) to fix the problems. The latest problem is that mutual fund quotes do not update for many, many, hours after market close. When trying to connect to a new test file, no one picks up.

Developers are more focused on bells and whistles they can advertise than program nuts and bolts and dependability. Customer service is terrible.

The latest quicken now takes 35 seconds to load a newly-created quicken data file that is not synched to the web, on a high-end desktop windows computer. After 5-10 years of data in an account quicken becomes slow. Backups also take longer.
