I previously had been using quicken 2016 and was perfectly happy with that version but for the past several months quicken has been warning me that the end of april i would lose my ability to download using this version and that was only 10 days away

Like most everyone else i hate subscription based programs but since i have about 30 years worth of quicken data i really had no choice except to subscribe and update

I went to the specified quicken website and downloaded the installation program

I did not use the quicken deluxe 2018 cd disk that i purchased

Anyway after completing the download of the installation program on my desktop i was instructed to open that program

I was prompted that the program would uninstall my previous version of quicken and install the latest version

Shortly into the install i got an error message telling me that the program was unable to uninstall my quicken 2016 program and that i would have to manually uninstall it via control panel
