This cookbook is fantastic. One of my favorite cookbooks. Jeanne lemlin cookbooks all meet my criteria.

This is a great cookbook for those who are lacto-ovo-veg.

Cold szechuan noodles are a nice alternative to your typical sesame noodle recipe. The salads and side dishes sections provide a rich variety of options to set off a main dish or to bring to summer picnics or potlucks.

Cons

My complaint is due to the fact that the book arrived used, with newspaper clippings stuck inside, a broken book back, and a folded back corner of a page. Not very helpful honestly.

We used the book so heavily it was no longer in good enough condition to return to my daughter

The author uses a lot of butter and cheesepractically every recipe calls for a tablespoon or more of butter and mounds of cheese
