Pros & Cons
Pros
While it still has a tendency to make the dogs (2) jump when using, they become accustom to the noise. One a large water dog (70 lb) and a smaller (50 lb) dog.
Cons
Cutting blade is dull and splits the nail rather than making a clean cut. It makes her nails turn sideways and not clip. The battery holder is a cheap chinese made piece of plastic that rips out easily.
This product is ridiculous. It needs to be made more compact and with higher quality construction. I wish i had read the reviews on here first, but at least i was able to get my money refunded.
The indicator lights on this product are completely random. As soon as you insert the nail, even before it gets to the clipper part, the clippers goes from green to red. Don't trust the sensor.
Highlights
Quality
I rank this item as excellent and as advertised
His nails are dark brown to black and hard to miss his blood veins and he is a bleeder these digital nail clippers are easy to use
Both dogs nails were relatively easy to clip and the sensor gave good indication where their quick was located no nicks
The strength required to make the cuts to the nails was greater than i would have liked but still was not impossible to do
Price
I cannot speak to the longevity of it but its still cheaper than a pet store
