Pros

The pole is much nicer than i anticipated. The reel is bigger than i figured it would be but not too big. It's a nice looking rod and appears to be well manufactured. Great combo for the money.

The optix 40’s are perfect for inshore species. I only use them in saltwater, and they hold up great! Paired it with a 21 inch 8 strand braided leader and a 5/0 circle hook. It's my favorite for smallmouth bass in my local river.

I like the style of the handle seems like i can cast the bait for a long distance

The bell is way to tight and won’t automatically flip back

Contrary to what the specs on the side of this real says i was able to get away with about 150 ft of 20 lb braid

Great for the price and does the job nicely

Wanted a new ultra light rod and this is very good combo for the price

If you are on a limited budget like i am you will not be sorry for buying this

Overall these can be a great addition for someone on a budget

Amazon was quick to send out a replacement and provided free return shipping for the broken one

Packaging/appearance

I received two that were both broken because the box got bent and there was no padding

Two separate boxes two different sizes and both were snapped off

However as mentioned by others the packaging should be improved
