The clamp is steel with rubber pads, it works the best on a 16 mm clamping board. It seems well made and time will tell if it gets droopy. The construction is very durable.

Cons

Clamp for headboard is too small. I thought this would illuminate my whole single bed area, it does not. The downside is that this great work-light only lasted 7 months.

Theyre a great alternative for those looking into not buying the ikea janso lights for this particular type of photography

So far im very pleased the lamp i have that is closest to compare cost 25 dollars and isnt as bright
