Pros & Cons
Pros
This light works great for most uv resin. You have to check the wattage for the resin you are using, this light is around 26 watts and one of the uv resins i have needs a 36 watt light to harden. Using for inspection of conformal coated pcbs. Would be... Read More
Light puts off a blueish color in the room and in my opinion is brighter than traditional tube style black lights that do not give you any visible light. This type of photography uses fluorescent body paint and creates fine-art photos under uv light.
Great product. This light is priced more than half the cost of other lights that are marketed as dj lights.
Kitten hill is a strong, broad, and even light. It even has a bracket for mounting to a wall or other support. The lights themselves and lenses are fine and build quality seems pretty good.
It is always-on when plugged in, so i have it attached to an old darkroom enlarger timer. Takes a second to fire up after flipping the switch.
Cons
Advertised as a 110 volt unit. It’s either too weak or the wrong wavelength. Within a month you can barely tell that the light is on, it casts a light purple glow.
Utter junk. To waste 40$ like that. And very hard to return through amazon.

The 50w unit 12 away from the coated paper gives me an exposure time of 814 minutes for cyanotypes depending on the negative
I use it in conjunction of an anycubic wash and cure unit which is fantastic for the cleaning part the up is good but not as st... Read More

While the light isnt truly uv its just above the blue end of the visible spectrum and below the actual uv spectrum it does work for blacklight photography despite its powerful bluish glow in the visible spectrum
