A bit hard to get going with the directions but decent for less than $20.
Price
I'm happy with it, and for the price you can't beat it.
Packaging/appearance
I have an optoma hd143x attached to it, and while there were a bazillion screws to attach projectors, nothing in the box fit the optoma.
Competitiveness
Needed this to mount my new optoma uhd51a projector closer to my screen due to the decreased zoom compared to my epson 5030ub.
I have a large-ish projector, an epson 8350, and it holds it well.
Could be a bit more sterdy at full extension.

In the past we purchased mounts from projector gear but couldn't get the this resent order placed due to their website not taking payments and i couldn't find a phone number to call projector gear.

I bought a strong ceiling mount from qualgear without the extension before , but i struggled getting the correct view since my screen is mounted low.

Easy to install - it is supposed to be universal but the attachment arms did not line up correctly for my projector (lg hu70la), so the projector does not sit centered on the mount.
