First the plastic seam from the molding process is clearly visible on the pieces

Far more importantly however to my eye the pieces are rather poorly proportioned

Also again to my eye the rook is somewhat too substantial it should be just a hair or two narrower to fit the proportion of the bishop and the knight

Finally as perfect as this set is for tournaments and club play for my money it just cant compare to the feeling of handling wood pieces on a wood board even if the pieces are cruder and the board is smaller

The only drawback in the package in the mousepad you just cant roll a mouse on it so its useless not that i care
