So as background i have issues with heat production during the night that beds and pillows become unbearable i have cooling pillows but not the mattress because i cant afford them so i decided to experiment with this after reading reviews of this in comparison of what are deemed cooling bed toppers you need to find how it works for you because at the end it might be what you need i first tried it on top of the fitted sheets and it was fine kind of getting used to the material the only problem is that it slid off so i tried under the fitted sheet then i noticed that yes it does disperse your body heat but your mattress absorbs it and then the heat comes back through the spaces in between the paneling it felt like a grill and it went with the shape of the mattress so it was super uncomfortable then i decided to cover the mattress in 3 fitted sheets below the mattress topper and then another sheet on top that actually was the best thing to do it gave cushion bellow the mattress topper and the heat that dispersed got trapped in the mattress and it didnt come back a lot of trial and error but now i can finally say i am happy with this product i made it work as weird as it sounds but at the end it worked
