Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Paint is beige, tan, or light brown. Used on the inside of a ge profile microwave. Not quite as smooth or shiny as the original.

Most of the time will be spent cleaning, sanding and masking. I wipe down them every day and nothing has chipped off.

Used wire brush drill attachment to remove all the peeling paint and sanded smooth everywhere. Mistakes can be resolved by a light sanding and reapplying more paint. This paint dries very fast, so was ready to use in a couple hours.

Cons

I have a ge monogram microwave oven that over time the paint failed on the bottom. The paint flakes off and does not stick. The can says that this is flammable material.

Be careful with this product. It's not for everyone. Maybe then there'd be a prayer of success. Still, no luck.

Quality

So far after a few weeks the paint looks great and appears to very durable and tough

Proper sanding helped to get the right finish very smooth and uniform when dry

My microwave is just a few months old and it rusted up horribly

This painted steel design for a microwave is horrible and whoever thought of it should lose their job

Price

For the price of this product we had nothing to use

The cost of a microwave replacement was more than 550 so trying a 20 can of paint advertised for repair seemed like a nobrainer

If this repair holds up it will have saved me the cost of another oven over 250

Shipping

Came quickly and worked fine but i have a short microwave and was wishing for a shorter can even if it had to be wider

Competitiveness

Surely just about any other design that is microwave safe would be better

Also now when i use the microwave i leave it open to allow any condensation to dry out before i close it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

My guess is my rust problem started because of condensation from the foods being microwaved being trapped because i never let it dry out
