I have worn them during a long hike over volcanic rocks

I took 2 pairs with me as my only footwear when i was working as a relief worker after last years caribbean hurricanes they were ideal inside partly flooded buildings

I wear them everywhere apart from cold and muddy conditions and when protection form nails thorns etc

For this purpose they were not ideal as they suffered noticeable wear after 20km and small stones migrated in through the drainage holes in the soles
