Were thrown into the middle of the 28th century and youre left to fend for yourself to figure out many things which are common knowledge to the characters

He does stop and explain a few things along the way but as the narrator instead of the silly plot device of one character saying surely you know and then proceed to explain what the other character surely does know

The very first book in this series really dragged me into this realm of the sequels that have come out since that first book the qship chameleon is really the one that reached the same level if not surpasses the initial release
