Unfortunately the one i received has a small brown stain dots inside it hence the 4 stars otherwise i would have given it 5

Went to a local quality cookshop purchased a good quality one took it back after unpacking it it fitted together so badly it was dangerous

It is probably a little heavier than metal ones of course it is breakable

I have had 2 steamers previous to this one both plastic nightmare to clean

Unlike the plastic ones the steam stays inside the unit and does not escape via the lid

Do bear in mind that when your heating anything other than water in these dishes for example making a casserole they are fairly thin by design so of course the contents next to the inner surface of the dishes can be sensitive to temperature which can lead to burning
