The best thing is that this will take a lot of use in a microwave (less fixed lid) whereas the plastic clipboxes tend to distort over time. The instructions are not the clearest but i deduce that you can use the dish in the microwave with the lid on.

You could also cook something in it as n the oven then put the lid on it to keep clean and when cool back in the fridge

The only thing when the air vents are open the red sliders are out so the lid is loose an not locked
